The girls had their 1 year and 3 year dr checkups yesterday.
At 1 year old, Hailey is 18 lb 14 oz in the 20% for weight. She is 28 1/4 in and in the 25% for height. She had to have 4 shots yesterday.... measles mumps & rubella, chickenpox vaccine, hepatitis A, pneumococcal conjugate (this one is to prevent the spread of strep. pneumoniae bacteria that causes pneumonia, bacterial meningitis and blood infections). Poor Hailey, she then had to have her finger pricked for lead poisoning & hemoglobin testing. She was mad through it all of course, but last night she was her happy self.. brave little girl. The dr was happy with her development and "new words"since the last time we've seen her... mama, dada, papa, ball, puppy (kinda), dora, baby, baba, taytay, and she tries to say backpack. It comes out more like baa-paa. :)
At 3 years old, Taylor is 29 lbs in the 25% for weight. She is 36 1/4 in and in the 30% for height. She didn't have any shots, but she was pretty excited of the fact that she was getting checked out by the dr. She usually just gets to watch! Dr was happy with Taylor's development and language skills as well, since she's been speaking in full sentences for over a year and most people other than me have been able to understand her for quite awhile. Her dr did however discover an innocent heart murmur that so many kids ages 3-7 get.. it's a kind that comes and goes and is a developmental thing. If you'd like to read more about it, go to Still's Murmur. It's on the 2nd page. Of course, the moment she said heart murmur I almost had a stroke myself after all we've gotten through with Hailey but she assures me that it doesn't even need a look at.. just her listening to it once a year is enough and it probably won't even be there next year.
Well, that's all for now! Taylor's birthday is coming up, so we're preparing for that now. She's having a Barbie party. It was so hard for her to decide, she likes too many things now :)

Glad Hailey was brave and made it thru the shots. And Taylor had her day in the spot light too :) Hugs to both cant wait until the next party, too far away!!
Glad girls are doing ok.....can understand the scare, but everything will be fine.

Way to scare a mom! Glad it's not an uncommon thing at least.
