Our Weekend

We made a trip down to Kenosha this weekend and stayed with Tim & Mel & Girls. We had a fun weekend, though I have been very uncomfortable and not much fun myself lately. My back has been aching so bad. I jokingly say,"I'm ready for my epidural now," but part of me isn't kidding! :)

Taylor & I woke up Saturday, picked up Grandma, and went to my cousin Katie's bridal shower. It was fun to see all of the Pedersen girls and their little ones. Taylor was pooped by the time we left and fell asleep in the car.

It was chilly Sunday afternoon, but it was nice enough for the girls to play outside for awhile.

...and Grandma & Grandpa came over and played too.

These girls should be able to shoot hoops around the boys by the time there are any boys around :)

This playhouse was sent home to go to Grandma P's house, but it may have to stay for a little while until Taylor gets her new one.. she likes it too much!

My 37 Week Dr Appt was....

not as exciting as I hoped it would be! I am not dialated at all and 50% effaced. Baby is very low though and kicking my butt. Not literally but you know what I mean. That's probably the only part of me that hasn't been hurting lately. Everything was looking good, blood pressure, weight, etc... but dr doesn't think I'll be going just yet. So, we'll go back next week and go from there!

Cleaning the Yard

We had a beautiful Saturday, so Grandpa & Grandma came over to help clean the yard. (and play:) Taylor helped rake leaves, but marched through them more than raked. She was filthy by lunch time, though it was worth it. I'll be scrubbing out her mud and grass stains today too, Mel. :) lol.
Daddy put together her playhouse outside, and she loves it! Oh, and Ben found a nest of baby doves in a bush by the garage. It was overall a great day, though Mommy was feeling kind of crumby by the end of it. No, I didn't rake! :)

Playing outside

Taylor has been having a lot of fun outside this week. Yesterday, she was playing with a stick (her wand) and throwing leaves at Mommy.

She was trying to reach the branches with her stick, but she couldn't quite reach that high.

Then, a street sweeper came along and she was in shock. She knew it was a blue truck, but she kept saying,"What's that noise?!" Then, she went inside to tell Daddy all about the blue truck that was making a loud noise.

Check out her face when she was trying to figure out what it was!

Saturday

We had a good overall Saturday. Jr stopped by after work in the morning to help Ben transfer the leftover leaf bags from last fall from the back yard to the curb, as our first pickup is this week. We enjoyed having the boys for lunch and a visit, and Taylor did a great job entertaining them of course. Ben went to help Ted with some doors in the afternoon, while Taylor and I did a little shopping. Taylor took a very short nap (fell asleep on the way home from the store) and when she woke up she had a tummy ache. Poor girl, she had a rotten diaper then she felt a lot better the rest of the night. She took off her skirt and didn't want to put it back on the rest of the day so she lazed in her tights for awhile. Taylor was trying to go on the potty chair probably 6 times then sat on it for 20 minutes AT LEAST before I told her we needed to go put a diaper on. Let me tell you, I am so glad she didn't do that on the potty chair! Alright, enough gross talk for one day. Hope you all had a good Saturday too. The only thing that could make it better is some nice weather! I can't believe it snowed all day, but at least it didn't stick.

35 Weeks

I had a dr appointment today at 35+ weeks and it went well. Baby dropped and is "way down in there". I knew she dropped, but I was glad to here she was still head down because I was worried she'd flipped back over the other day. Dr said her head is pretty far down in there, she will most likely not be able to flip anymore. Good heartrate, blood pressure, etc.. Had my strep b test today, which I was positive for last time so we'll see. That's about it, baby still growing steadily but still small like Taylor was. I didn't get checked for dialating or anything yet, but she will start that in 2 weeks when I go back.

Taylor was being goofy this morning. Going around with her "princess wand" saying "bippety-boppety-boo" at everything :)

She was loving up her sister, so I attempted to take a picture. She didn't want to stop hugging her today.

Saturday at Grandma's

We are at Grandpa & Grandma P's today, as the guys went down to Madison for some deer show thing. Taylor just went down for a nap, so I'm stealing some pictures off of Mar's camera while I'm here. We went shopping this morning, to the post office, then played at the park for awhile! Here are some pictures from the park. Taylor was having a lot of fun digging and raking, but is scared of the swing today. I may post more pictures later if we go swimming at the pool. Hope everyone's having a good weekend!

We call this "airing myself out from a long winter."

Joke

I have no pictures to post because my camera is being dumb, so here's my pregnancy joke:

A four year old little boy was at the doctor’s office with his mother in the waiting room when he spotted a pregnant lady on the other side of the room. Having nothing better to do, he walks over to her and inquisitively asks “Why is your stomach so big?” She replied, “Im having a baby.” With big eyes, he replied, “Is the baby in your stomach?” She said, “He sure is.” Then the little boy, with a puzzled look on his face, asked yet another question, “Is it a good baby?” She said, “Oh, yes. It’s a real good baby.” At this point the woman is thinking the little boy is incredibly cute and looks foward to what he has to say next… And, much to her suprise, with an even more surprised and shocked look than before, he asks.. “Then why did you eat him?”
