Sunday Pics & Piano

The girls were all "Springy" today :)

Taylor was watching Ben snowblow after lunch,

and Hailey was playing the piano.

I seem to remember almost this exact picture with Taylor about this age "jamming" with her eyes shut!

Here it is... only Taylor's got her tongue sticking out too.. Lol. I'm surprised Hailey doesn't, she seems to think the tongue sticking out is pretty cool lately. haha, and the shirt Taylor has on Hailey is wearing a few pics down. Cute!

Saturday, Taylor was hiding from Hailey under her blanket,

"Oh good, Taylor's not looking so I can quick grab the blanket!"

This is how Hailey plays now that she can move anywhere she wants.. with 50 toys piled around her.

Cooper thought the snowfall was pretty cool yesterday. He played in it most the day.

This was Friday night.. the girls playing dressup. Now Hailey's getting involved :)

Today's Projects

The kids made window art with contact paper & play doh. I got this idea here.

First, you cut out a piece of contact paper, and I unstuck half of it and taped it to the table. Seems easier to tape it down for the kids. Then they just took little pieces of playdoh and squished them on there. After that, you just unstick the rest and fold it over to seal. You can punch a hole and tie a ribbon for a cute bookmark or hang a string for another sun catcher.

Here was today's other project. Seems like they empty this toy box completely at least every couple days.

Hailey's coming to help. She pushes this thing everywhere.

This is where she ended up during our first project. I put her about 20 feet away with some toys and she just scoots everywhere. This is another good reason I clean my kitchen floor oh so often!

This is how Taylor fell asleep the other night. She was having a sucker because that's her treat when she goes #2 on the toilet, and that's sucker drool on her chin. The owie by her eye was from her bad day the other day. She was tripping and walking into everything she could. This one was from the bed post.

Hailey's 9 Month Checkup

Hailey was 9 Months old last week and had her doctor checkup this afternoon. No shots this time, woo hoo! She is 17 lbs 1 oz and 27 inches, 20% for weight and 25% for height. 2 oz and 1/2 inch less than Taylor was at this age. Her doctor was very happy with her growing, sleeping, eating & behavioral patterns. Hailey's eyes, ears, lungs and everything checked out good so that's a relief since she's been fighting a cold off and on the past few weeks. We go to her cardiologist on March 12th for her next echo on her heart murmer. So, hope that's good news too!

Doesn't it look like she took this picture of herself? LOL, she's sitting on my lap and reaching for my face as I took the picture :)

New Bed and Hailey Walking?

We got our new bed frame and mattresses delivered today, woo hoo!!!!! It is so comfortable, can't wait to actually sleep in it.

and the first one who gets to sleep in it is................. Taylor! She thought it was pretty neat too.

Taylor has mastered potty training during the day and nap, but I can't say she's officially potty trained since she still goes at night in her diaper. Good enough for me for now! We'll get there soon!

Hailey pushes this little thing all around the house. She's walking next to things and around things. She can get anywhere she wants now so truly walking with no hands is only a matter of time! Crazy! Happy 9 months old to our baby girl today!

Wagon Ride, Playing Outside! & Crafts

Seeing the temp in my kitchen window read 61 degrees this afternoon, we decided to go for a wagon ride!

Sounds silly being February, but it was warm out and the girls loved it!

"Look Mommy, that puddle is so big it looks like the ocean!"

The snow melted enough to have some grass around the tree and Hailey thought it was pretty cool.

We even broke out one of the play cars.

I thought this sight of the little feet hanging was too adorable not to capture.

Taylor says,"Follow my footprints, Hailey!"

I've been bad about posting crafts lately, so here are a few at once.
This first one I just traced the kids handprints into a heart shape, wrote the poem off to the side, and they stickered wherever they wanted.

Today's project was the heart flower below, and the heart ladybug was inspired by Mom telling me about the cute little magnet clips Mel's girls made her.

This snow man was last week sometime.

Jon's Home Visit, Family Pictures & Bowling

My brother Jon came home for a couple week visit from the Army and came to see us on Thursday and Friday last week. Taylor & Hailey both thought he was pretty cool.

Taylor was attached to his I-Phone for a long time.

We all headed down to Grandpa & Grandma's house on Friday and had a family picture taken Saturday morning.

and our own little family picture

Then we all went bowling, which was a lot of fun.

Hanging out on the couches at the bowling alley.

Taylor's first time bowling and she had to do it "all herself" after the first time Daddy helped her.

Thanks for the cool play-doh set Uncle Tim & Auntie Mel (and the neat book for Hailey), Taylor especially likes the play-doh scissors!

Playing at Grandma's house and petting Jersey the kitty.
