Yellow & Cool Chicks

Here was our yellow project yesterday: sun, moon, (although Taylor tells me the moon is really white ;) duckling, giraffe, car, flowers, lemon, bee hive, corn, tractor, and Belle of course.

Hailey was playing peek-a-boo with Taylor while waiting to get in the bathtub.

The kids yesterday. I took a pic for a project we're going to do.

Hailey screaming to get in the tub, she loves it!

and the little clean bundle of baby afterwards...

Taylor got some new sunglasses so they had to try them out last night. Hailey didn't have them for long since she wanted to chew on them, and I didn't want them getting poked in her eye.

and here's the cool chick Taylor this morning in her clothes, snow white dress, and sunglasses :)

Hailey was getting a kick out of it all.

Cookies & Blue

Yesterday the little boy I watch wasn't here, so Taylor and I ventured from our color projects and made cookies. Her old babysitter is coming over tonight so she made her some cut-out sugar cookies "all herself".

Rolled them out.

Drum patted them to make sure they were flat :)

and put on the sprinkles.

Hailey was watching from her high chair, but that got old fast.

Here is our things that are BLUE project today. We've got a train (like Thomas), blue jeans, dolphin and elephant (yes, I realize these aren't really blue in real life but most cartoon ones are and in books), blue bird, waves.. and Taylor's picture also has Snow White because her top is blue, Cinderella, and Ariel because Taylor say the blue ocean behind her. The little boy's picture doesn't have the princesses, he has other blue Thomas stickers instead.

Green

Here's our things that are GREEN project today. We've got a frog, alligator, tree, leaf, pear, turltle, snake, grass, peas, and beans.

Ben had code class last night (every Monday night for 9 weeks starting yesterday) so we had a girls night... indoors of course. Too cold to go anywhere. The girls didn't make it even to their normal bedtime, must've been too much fun :)

I was going to take a picture of Taylor holding her popcorn bowl, was too cute, but she was exhausted.

Hailey was having fun on the piano, another little Beethoven in the family.

A new week

Here was our project today. We did things that are red today and have a different color each day. We have a firetruck, stop sign, lady bug, apple, hearts, strawberry, tractor, then a bunch of other animal stickers of animals that aren't really supposed to be red but the stickers are red.

Taylor and Hailey actually wearing their cute new matching skirts out yesterday instead of just trying them on.

Today was a fun day again. I'm really enjoying having the daycare. We had the 2 year old boy and 2.5 year and 1.5 year old brother and sister for awhile today. Was a lot of playing and activities. Hailey was having fun just watching everyone else.

Another Saturday Gone...

Us girls had a busy day shopping while Ben went snowmobiling. We went to Michaels to find some felt, cardstock, stickets, ribbon and etc for art projects and hairdos, then we met at the mall with a friend and her son. After lots of playing, shopping & eating (met up with some others for a fun lunch) we were pooped. But, of course, I still needed groceries so away we went to the grocery store. Hailey fell asleep as soon as we got in the car, but Taylor pulled another nap strike. She was very excited to tell the checkout guy all about her Daddy snowmobiling and how one day when she gets big she can snowmobile with him. The guy said he thought maybe she was already big enough and she told him no, she needed to be much bigger. :)

Hailey is standing next to stuff already! She gets so frustrated sitting and not moving. I put her on her belly and she'll roll around a bit then get mad because she wants to be standing! I still sit next to her while she's standing, but she rarely will fall. Her other new thing is she loves taking baths! If she even sees a glimpse of the bathtub, she will start screaming if I don't take her over there and show her there's no water in it. If there is water then she's getting in there... somehow. lol, she stiffens out and reaches and babbles away at it.

Oh yes, and there's this new cheesy smile she loves!

Here are the two cuties tonight in the rocking chair.

This week's adventures...

I'm going to start taking pictures of the projects we do during the day so I can look back for ideas later ;-) Plus, I'll remember when we did it for when I eventually get to this stage in the girls' scrapbooks.

Here was our project this morning. I cut out the shapes for the tree and house and cut cottonballs in half because they were too big I thought. The kids helped me put glue around the page and they put the house, tree, and cottonballs on to complete our snow scene.

Here are the girls before bed the other night. Taylor pulled these stencils out of our activity drawers and thought Hailey wanted to play with them. She thought they were pretty cool to chew on anyway. A change of pace.

In other news, my daycare has been a lot of fun so far. The 2 year old boy is here M,T,Th & F so he and Taylor have been having a blast. We've also had some drop-ins every now and then that have been mixing it up a bit. Everyone gets along great, besides the normal sharing problems with each of them every now and then but that's expected. I've got a schedule going now, so we're reading, coloring, and doing at least one learning project every day. It makes the days run smoothly. Plus, we're getting our meals, snacks & naps on somewhat of a schedule.. although I like to leave room there since kids aren't expected to be hungry and tired at the exact same time every day.
We're looking forward to welcoming an addition to the daycare in a couple of months! We'll have a baby boy joining us! Small world, I was responding to some ads on craig's list and turns out to be the mom of a little girl Taylor went to daycare with.
Hope all is well with all of you and you're having a good new year!

Our holiday weeks...

Okay, so it's been a little while since I've posted. Sorry about that. Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks to recap. We spent Christmas Day with Sharon & Larry, Shannon, Bill & Shanda, Kylie & Karena, and Grandpa & Grandma P and stayed at their house for the weekend. Taylor & Kylie had fun as usual with some finger painting, a little tea party, and fort building to name a few things.

Friday after xmas, Taylor was doctoring Hailey...

Having their own little tea party, and Taylor had to have a bandaid on her head at one point since she bumped it and was in the "doctoring" mood.

Jr & Ben were building forts outside for Taylor until it rained and ruined it all.

And Hailey was watching out the window...

Taylor started sledding in their backyard, but then we decided to go to a bigger hill.

Hailey went down once with me very, very slowly.

Taylor went down at least once with Jr, Ben and myself laughing and laughing all the way. One time Papa fell off and sent Taylor down the rest of the way herself and she thought that was pretty cool. She would've kept going all night but we were pooped from climbing up.. no tow ropes here!

My mom and dad came up for New Year's and we had a fun couple of days with them.

Then today we went back over to Mar & Jr's because Ben helped Jr move in their new washer and they went hunting.

Us girls played in the snow some more and went to the pool.

Hailey didn't really care for being so bundled up she couldn't move a muscle.

Mommy & Taylor making snow angels. Of course I didn't have any snow pants along so I was a little chilly. Then us in Taylor's "girls only fort." :) Thanks for the happy holidays everyone.

I started my at-home daycare this week and it's been great! The little boy I'm watching is 2, so he and Taylor have a lot of fun. I'm loving being home with the girls all the time, but it is all a lot of work.. don't let anyone fool ya. I didn't expect it not to be, but it's the most rewarding work that's for sure. Not only being an at-home mom, but also being a daycare provider. Hope everyone's having a great start to the new year!
I just took this picture of Hailey sitting in Taylor's little recliner, so proud of herself :) Had to add it.
