Playing in the leaves!

It was a beautiful Saturday to play outside in the leaves!

The girls loved it, but Aiden was not too sure about it!  This was his first time in the leaves or really playing on the ground outside not on a blanket of some kind.

ahhh, this is the life!

Taylor was racing down the "leaf roads"

I love this one, the kids were having so much fun

throwing leaves at Mom!

Everyone has to taste the leaves at least once, right?

Grandma and the pumpkins

Taylor had her friend Sammy from school over for the first time yesterday afternoon too, and they had lots of fun of course!

The neighbors probably thought we were confused and were going trick-or-treating or something.. but no, they just wanted to play outside in their dress-up clothes :) whatever works!

yikes, there's a mermaid in our front yard!

playing chalk and watching the mermaid color the tree :P

Aiden's 6 month Dr Appt

Aiden's dr appt went well! I decided to delay the shots he was supposed to get since he's still got a temp from cutting a tooth and having abnormal diapers. I didn't want something else thrown into the mix this week.  He is 16 lbs 8 oz and 27 inches. 30% for weight and 69% for height. Dr said he is doing great developmentally and not concerned about his weight leveling off since he's grown 2 inches in 2 months! Crazy.  He was fine with waiting on the shots.. only was supposed to get 2 and said we can even wait until his 9 month appt if we want to or we can just call and come in whenever between now and then.  No comment on the flu shot, we'll think about it and probably won't do it but that's our preference.  Aiden was not going to open his mouth to let the dr see his tooth.. he clamped it shut and gave him a look like.. mind your own business pal, my mouth hurts :P

6 Months = Aiden's First Tooth!

Aiden has had a rough week sleepwise... therefore, so have I.  He has been up every hour or less at night nursing and just hasn't been acting like his happy self.  I was worried about an ear infection because he's also had a low-grade fever for a couple days and I didn't see any teeth coming through. I took him and Hailey to the dr last night to check their ears and lungs since Hailey has been coughing and boogery for a week too. They were clear.. just bad colds. Well, guess what I found this morning?  A tooth popping through!

Here's the poor cranky baby not wanting to share his new tooth with the camera

Here is my new favorite friend because....

it causes the crankies to go away quickly and...

then this happens, and after a night of being up 10 times and straight from 3:30-5:30 it is a miracle worker!

So, Aiden's first tooth at 6 months is early for our kids when one girl got her first at 10 months and another not until a week before her first birthday! However, just some more proof at how different all kids are, even brothers & sisters.

Baby loves taking baths now and screams when I take him out, so we tried the bumbo in the tub the other day. He loves it!  I had to drain out most of the water so he didn't float away and he had a blast.  Of course, then his sisters did too after he got out. Good thing we have doors on our bath or the bathroom would've been soaked.

I love this picture. Hailey's always happy to snuggle her brother.

Aiden's new favorite toy is the jumperoo! He wore himself out the other day and crashed in it, but he was still sleep-jumping. Hilarious.
Taylor & Aiden playing before school one day last week :)

Taylor is learning Japanese at school. Apparently this is how you write "Taylor" in Japanese.  She came home from school yesterday jabbering something and finally I made a little sense of it after reading her Japanese sheet from her teacher.

"Ohayoo. Onamae wa? Watashi wa Taylor desu.  Schumaker Sensei."
"Good morning. What is your name? My name is Taylor. She is Mrs. Schumaker." Yeah. A mouthful! Kids are so smart and catch on quickly! Guess that's why they start it in Kindergarten!

The weather has been so nice so we've taken the girls for a wagon ride or walk about every day since Saturday.  I carried Aiden in one of his slings a couple days and he crashed.  Fresh air does your body good.

Time has flown this month, sorry for so few posts!  It is October! Aiden is 6 months old! Yikes! He has his 6 month well-check tomorrow and I think we'll probably wait on the shots if he still has a fever.  Don't need to wonder if it's the shots of the teeth. We'll see.  The rest of us are pretty good. The girls are so excited that it's Halloween month! And, Taylor has her first field trip to Mulberry Lane Farm next Friday! Have a good day everyone.

Moving and Curling

We're still here! It's been a busy month to say the least!

This little man travels every which way now somehow.. not quite crawling but he does go backwards, sideways and forward in some way or another! Scootching, rolling, pulling, pushing, rocking, he is quite the mover :)

He's pretty proud of himself and so are we :)

Hailey has been playing hard with the rest of the kids while Taylor's been at school. One afternoon she didn't even make it to the couch, crashed on the living room floor while talking to Aiden in his exersaucer!

Aiden was "helping" Taylor play games one day last week after school.

dc boy Bennett loves having another little boy in the house!

Aiden scratched himself in the nose the other day (looks like Taylor was half awake here, lol)

Taylor wanted to try curlers in her hair the other night so of course Hailey did too, like she needs them!

Aiden was trying to grab them.. what's that in your hair sissy??

cute little curler girls playing computer games

Taylor's curlers were big and loose and didn't last past breakfast pretty much. (that's what you get with stick straight hair I'm thinking! and I didn't spray it or anything)

Hailey's curls lasted all day :)

Labor Day Camping Trip

We had a fun weekend camping down at Chain o' Lakes State Park in Spring Grove, IL this weekend! However, for some reason blogger is taking 100 years to load each picture... so click this link to check out the photos on facebook today!

I'll try again another time to load them on here!
Thanks everyone for the fun weekend!

Let's try posting them again...

Taylor borrowed Megan's fishing pole for awhile, forgot the girls poles at home.

Uncle Tim brought the kids squirt guns so they had fun on the hot days with them! Hailey & Tyler were a hoot in the water bucket with the animals too.

This little girl was so dirty, but that's what campingi s all about! Her shirt says,"Dirt makes me cuter!" lol

We took a break and headed to Gurnee Mills to escape the heat for awhile

The girls were all so cute in their rain coats

Papa and Grandma hanging out with Aiden in the food tent :)

We had some great food

the weather turned cooler so we snuggled in our sweatshirts

Taylor's First Day of Kindergarten!

My hello kitty girls getting ready to head off to drop Taylor at school for her first day of Kindergarten!

On the way home I said,"I miss Taylor" and Hailey said,"I miss her toooo!" :(

Big school, little girl :)

Taylor did great and was very excited to go! Mommy didn't hold up so well, and I saw tears in Daddy's eyes too :)  Good thing I have extra kids to snuggle :)

Standing in line before the bell rings in front of her classroom.

Glad to see Taylor is listening here.. she looks so sweet :)
