Camping Labor Day Weekend

We had a fun weekend camping with Grandpa & Grandma M and Tim & Mel and kids in IL. We had some awesome camp sites right on a little lake, so we had fun on Dad's canoe too!

Taylor was trying to ride Megan & Madi's bikes all weekend and figured out how to pedal now so we need to get new training wheels for Taylor's bike so she can ride it.

We enjoyed swimming at Jerry & Lorna's Friday night before dinner. The sun was out and it was beautiful!

We tried for a campfire but the storm clouds rolled in too fast!

Matching girls!

Our matching girls tonight! Taylor had this outfit when she was Hailey's age and she loved it when I pulled it out to wash for Hailey. I got lucky and found a matching one for Taylor on ebay! It looks short in this picture, but it's not really that short.


The girls are getting anxious to go camping next week over Labor Day weekend and so are Ben and I! So, I've been going through all of the fall clothes for the evenings/morning anyway. You never know what the weather will be like around here! Plus, needed to sort through the clothes anyway to see what we need yet for the cooler weather coming! It's been fun going through the clothes, not as much fun washing them all and putting them away. Now I just need to take some things out of their closets and dressers to make room!

Pony tail, Friends, Animals & new glasses!

I realize I don't update that often anymore and I'm sorry! So, here are a bunch in one :)

Here was Hailey's first pony tail! Her hair is getting pretty long but it's pretty curly so you can't tell that it's actually long enough to make a pony tail!





The kids love playing dress-up almost every day! Taylor said Kade was a boy butterfly, he's dressed as Tinkerbell :)




Last week we went to the free children's farm in Plammann Park, Appleton. It was neat.. just a few cows, pigs, sheep, rabbits to look through the fence at but cool anyway.

I was doing the dishes after lunch one day last week while Hailey & Bennett were playing in the living room. Went to check on them and this is what I found :) Hailey loves Bennett! She was hugging him and he was petting her face!

Taylor was reading books on Daddy's back the other night.. must've been comfortable there.

These are my new glasses I picked up today. They are kinda dorky but I like them! The style nowadays I guess! I haven't had new glasses in about 10 years so my prescription was pretty dated.

Hailey's 15 mo Dr Appt

Hailey had her 15 month checkup today and it went great! She is 20 lbs 8 oz and 29 1/4 in... 18 percentile but a healthy little girl nonetheless. Dr said she is ahead developmentally anyway. She was happy until I laid her on the table to undress her, then she screamed and cried... must've thought she was getting shots but didn't have those this time.

p.s. hailey's clips lasted a new record of about 1/2 hour before she pulled them out!

Fun with cousins and bumblee project

We spent the weekend at Grandpa & Grandma P's house and had lots of fun of course. Saturday we went to Ron & Jeanine's for a pot luck and some fun with cousins we don't get to see very often from Oregon.

Taylor & Melody loved driving around but didn't steer too well :)

It was too cold to swim with the breeze, but the water was nice to test with our feet.

Taylor & Kade made bumblees this week out of an empty paper towel roll and some colored paper. There was lots of buzzing around that day.

Can't believe how long Taylor's hair is getting, not the best picture but it's getting so long already! Growing like a weed.
