Playing in the Leaves!

We had a warm Fall afternoon yesterday, so the kids and I played out in the leaves for a little while. Taylor & Kade had a blast jumping in and throwing leaves at eachother and up in the air. Hailey wasn't too sure about it all!

Apple Picking, Pumpkin Painting & Twin Lakes

We went down to Grandpa & Grandma's in Twin Lakes this weekend to help my mom celebrate her birthday. We went to Gurnee Mills, spent a little time with some old friends, went apple picking, painted some pumpkins and had a great time!

Megan & Taylor with their apples, taste-testing of course.

Neither of these girls spent more than a couple minutes in the wagon before they were off apple hunting and Tyler sat in there.

Grandma looks like a kangaroo, hehe

Get that one, Grandma!!

Hailey likes apples but needs more teeth :)

We stopped by to get some doughnuts and a picture on the pumpkins we weren't supposed to be sitting on.

Hailey's Toddler Bed

Hailey's crib got changed into a toddler bed the other day and she loves it! I have a whole side rail that I put on at night yet so she doesn't fall out.. just in case. But, she's been napping in it like this and doing pretty well! I usually put a pillow at the end to be safe. She thinks the Dora sheets are especially cool too. Gotta love her morning hair!

and we can't forget silly sister Taylor this afternoon. She was saying,"I'm a cool chick!" when I took her picture :)

Sunday Girls

The girls wanted to play outside a little bit after lunch, so I grabbed the camera and headed out for a few. Taylor was picking morning glories since they're the only flowers left to pick :) and Hailey was having fun swinging and sliding. Yes, they were still in their meeting dresses but they needed washing anyway!

Taylor kept trying to grab the camera from me, so I gave in. She's learning how to be a photographer, lol

Marion Convention

We had a wonderful convention of course, and the girls loved being able to play with most of their friends and cousins for a few days!

Here are Taylor & Hailey playing Pollies with Megan & Madi by the campers

Grandma read books to the girls a lot, several times each of course :)

Grandpa helped me out a lot by taking Hailey for a walk after he ate so I could eat. Hailey wasn't too sure about the whole eating situation there. She was ok with some of the food, but not always ok with having to eat at a certain time.

It was Tim's birthday on Sunday while we were there so Mel picked up a cake for him in town. Happy 31st birthday, Tim!

Tim & Tyler hanging out by the camper just before we sang happy birthday.

They have a beautiful trail there and lots of fun rocks to play on. Here I am with Taylor, Hailey, Megan & Madi.

I'm grateful for the grandma's and grandpa's help at convention this year with everything they did or brought for the kids. Thanks again! We had beautiful weather, couldn't ask for better I think. Cool mornings and nights, warm enough for a t-shirt during the day and no rain until a couple hours after we got home! Now to finish unpacking and tackle the rest of the laundry...
