My dr is on vacation when I'm due...

Yesterday I got a postcard in the mail from my dr's office saying I needed to reschedule my appointment that I have on my due date, May 16th. So, I called this morning only to find out that my dr is on vacation May 14-18. Great, huh? Oh well, I guess. Ben said she didn't come in the room until I was pushing and did almost nothing but supervise. I guess I can't let it stress me out!

Attempting to braid.. again..

This is me attempting to braid Taylor's hair again this morning. I was doing the headband braid, then realized I was supposed to only be pulling hair from the front - after I was done of course. It stayed so we'll try the right way next time :)

Swimming at Grandma's

Mar, Taylor & I went swimming yesterday afternoon while Ben, Jr & Shelley went snowmobiling. Taylor had a lot of fun swimming, though she had the most fun sitting on the edge and splashing.

Taylor loves her horsey

Taylor was talking to her horsey this morning, not riding it like she usually does every day. She likes his brown eyes.

Am I getting too big for this?

Taylor still fits in this little dolly stroller, for now! "Push me! Mom, mom, MOMMMM!" That's what she kept saying last night until I did it. She is a little cheesehead, isn't she? :)

My Doctor Appointment Today

So, I am now 27 weeks along and had another dr appt this afternoon. I had to do the glucose screening today to check if I have gestational diabetes. I don't remember this drink tasting so bad last time! You drink it an hour before you get your blood drawn then they test it to see if your body handles the sugar intake correctly or whatever. I had a HUGE sugar headache after that, and had my regular dr appt. Baby's heartbeat sounded great and I'm measuring a little small, but dr said I measured the same last time - we should just expect another small baby. I go back in 4 weeks then it's every 2 weeks already! Crazy. Also, she suggested to eat gobs of peanut butter or cheese when I got home (protein) to get rid of the sugar headache and it worked! FYI for the future sugar headaches you may have. I'll know by Tuesday if I failed the diabetes test, otherwise if I passed they don't call.

Have a great weekend!

Taylor shows the "love" :)

This is how Taylor says "love" in sign language :)
She was watching an e-card from Gpa & Gma Mrnak and
there's a teddy bear that hugs himself and says something
about love. She thought it was great and kept doing this,
and she was very sad when I turned it off when we had
to leave this morning.
