High Cliff July 2013

We enjoyed the afternoon hiking around High Cliff State Park the other day. It was perfect weather and didn't start raining until we left :)

 

I think this blogger might actually let me post this, so if it does I might try and post some other pictures from the past 7 months!

Santa and stitches day 8

I haven't taken a picture since Day 8, but Hailey's chin really healed up fast and looks great now.. no more bruise just the scar.  We started putting Mederma on it and I'm sure it's hardly noticeable already.

 

 

We saw Santa at the mall last weekend and Aiden wasn't too impressed at first, but Santa was very nice and he stopped crying right away :)

Stitches Day 3 and 4

Hailey's owie has bruised quite a bit and turning yellow now, as you can see.. less swelling.  She's scheduled to get her stitches out tomorrow, Saturday at 10:00 am. Then, we're going to Chuck E. Cheese for a play date! We were supposed to do Monkey Joe's tonight, but we postponed until she's a little more healed. Don't need anything opening up before our long, holiday weekend!

 

Hailey Gets Stitches 11/13/12

Hailey fell at recess yesterday and had to have stitches.  It wasn't a huge cut, but it was open and some fatty tissue was coming out. 

 

Hailey was very brave, waiting to get her stitches.

 

The dr cleaned it up and numbed it with some gel,

 

they snipped off part of the fatty deposit then pushed the rest back in, 3 stitches.

She has an amazing dr and nurse who stayed late for us and kept her happy and comfortable the whole time.

 

Cute, happy girl... said it was so fun to go to the dr! goofball!

 

Day 2 picture of the stitches... looking pretty good considering, although there is quite a bit of bruising :(

 

This is what Hailey fell on yesterday..

 

 

To make a long story short, she slipped at recess right before school was let out.  Nobody noticed.  They led them right to the bus and the bus driver and aide on the bus didn't notice the blood on her face, coat and gloves.  She didn't tell the teacher or bus driver either, but it is still concerning that no one noticed.  I've had a long talk with her teacher and the principal and I really hope some more attention is given to the kids at recess from now on.  I'm not mad that she fell, it happens.  I'm upset that nobody noticed.  Hailey's tough and brave, and we've had a long talk about how she needs to feel safe going to her teacher and teacher's aide if something happens or if she needs help.  She does love her teacher, and I hope she doesn't get in trouble.  She feels sick about it.

Play Dates

We had Papendorf family pictures taken last week and this little dude would not smile at all, I did get a cute one of him smirking after we were waiting for the pictures to get printed! just wish it wasn't blurry! lol

 

Hailey had a play date with her friend Sarah from school at Building for Kids last Saturday. This was them snacking, lol.. kind of a funny one.

 

Taylor's friend Sammy came with too, and they all had so much fun.

 

This was before school one morning, the kids just goofing off being all cute.

 

Aiden was trying to lead Sadie around...

 

but she wasn't cooperating too well!

 

Someone looked especially cute on Monday... Taylor had the same outfit on but we were running late for the bus, and of course neither of them wanted their picture taken by the time Taylor got home from school!

These two are just the same size, the smallest two pints in their class.
