Before I was a Mom...

Before I was a Mom;

I never learned the words to a lullaby.
I never thought about immunizations.

I had never been puked on,
Pooped on,
Drooled on,
Chewed on,
Peed on…….

I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple little grin.
I never sat up for hours watching a baby sleep.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.

While I haven't been able to sleep past 3:30 again for a few days now, at least you all are keeping updated right? lol

We stopped at the store on the way home last night and Taylor wanted to buy me something. First, she was dragging around this big sponge bob gift bag for Mommy... But, then she saw these flip flops and they were too cute to refuse.

Taylor tries to make me feel better by making faces now.. :)

Swimming and bunnies...

Ben & I took Taylor to the pool in New London on Saturday, and Taylor did really good with her arm floaties for a few minutes anyway! She wanted to drink the water though so we took them off.

Also, we have baby bunnies living under our front steps. I tried to get a picture, though it didn't turn out too well. Taylor kept saying,"Bunny, what are you doing?!" So funny.

Taylor is in love with her little stuff puppy. His name is Cooper, of course.

Welcome to the world Morgan Daniel! Dan, Megan & Jacob welcomed Jacob's new baby brother on Saturday morning, May 3rd, weighing in at 7 lbs 4 oz! Congratulations! We can't wait to meet him!

38 Week Dr Appt

Not much new to report today at the dr. I am thinning out more but that's about it. I've been having sporatic contractions but nothing to write about. She said if they get regular and 5 mins apart to call! So.. more waiting, walking, eating spicy food, any other suggestions? (Keep it clean :P)

How to exhaust a 38 week pregnant woman... :)

After I picked Taylor up at Julie's yesterday, we stopped at the park.. then we went to the grocery store... we road bikes in the garage... we colored chalk pictures on the driveway for Daddy because he was working late... we made supper... we played in the backyard in the playhouse and on the swing... we went for a wagon ride... we played in the basement... we gave Taylor a bath... then Daddy got home and Mommy fell asleep.
