Playing in the Snow

We stayed at Tim & Mel's this weekend and had fun with them. The guys went ice fishing on Saturday again near Mom & Dad's house, while us girls did a little shopping and playing. We spent Sunday at Mom & Dad's house, and had a lot of fun playing on the snow hill in their woods. Fun until a couple of trespassing snowmobilers came up speeding over the hill and almost hit Buddy (their dog) and right into the group of us. The first guy was a real idiot and almost ran over Dad trying to get away. The second guy apologized 10 times after that and said he was from out of town. Crazy, but at least we were all okay. We did call the police and report it though, and Dad was able to get pictures of their registration #'s. I can't believe he thought so fast, but he had the camera out taking pictures of the girls sledding 2 seconds before that. It's a good thing he did too because the police said there was nothing they could do without the #'s. Anyways! We had fun but decided to go in right after that ordeal. Here are some of the pictures we all got. The picture of the steep hill is not the hill we were sledding on, but it's the one the snowmobilers came up right next to our sledding hill.

Braids

This is my first real attempt at braiding Taylor's hair that even came close to succeeding! She has such sticks that I have to get it totally soaking wet before and it still comes out pretty easily! I need more practice I guess, though it held for at least half the day.. for the most part.

Our New Van!

So, here's our new van! I just took a picture quick when I took my stuff out and started it. It does have remote start, but I can't see it from the window so I didn't use it right now. I love it so far! Sorry, no inside pictures. I should take them now while it's still clean :) :)

Our weekend and more...

It's taken me all week to get these pictures posted, but at least I'm doing it now! :) We had a fun weekend with my mom and dad, since they came up. Grandma brought an Elmo book where he makes silly faces, so that is one of Taylor's fun new things to do! Of course, there's a picture in there of Mommy making a silly face too which she thought was pretty funny.

My week is going much better though, now that all of this vehicle stuff is taken care of.

Good News!

We got our new van! I am so glad it's all over and we finally have it! It's a 2005 Pontiac Montana and we love it already. Taylor really likes it too. She likes being able to see out even better and of course, she likes the dvd player! I'll try to post a picture of it sometime later.

Stress!

I am so stressed out this week, it is ridiculous!

Work is okay, but I've been having to train another new person in the office. She is really nice, but I am getting sick and tired of training people. You think that the revolving door would swing shut at some point here, but my bosses seem to hire, fire or make people quit more often then not.

The thing that is most stressing me out is waiting to get our new van. The bank and insurance company have been giving eachother the run-around for 2 weeks now. One says they need something from the other, the other says they already sent it, and I've been calling all of them 10 times a day trying to get it clear to them how much I can't wait to never call them again! :P
The car dealer says that we should be able to pick up our car tonight, that most of the paperwork is processed. She's just waiting on a few things, but she said that yesterday too!

I was sick last night, just had a stomachache and every smell made me nauseous so I went to bed early. Now, I have this cramp today in my stomach - not the baby. I'm sure it's just the stress getting to me. I don't need this stress! I swear, I will feel so much better when we can pick up this van and never talk to any of these people again.

I do have some pictures to post from the weekend, but I have not been able to post them yet. I will try to tonight or bring my camera tomorrow and do it at work.

Hope everyone's week is going better than mine!

Innocence of a Child

I know no one will ever see our children the way we do through our eyes, but no one can deny the pure innocence of a child. The bad moments are wiped from our memory the moment our child whispers, "I love you, Mama", or waterfalls of tears start falling from her eyes. We forgive the tantrums, screams and cries when she doesn't get what she wants or can't figure out how to do something by herself because the next minute she is the sweetest, most carefree person you have ever seen. We love our child with the kind of love we never knew existed until now, and we will never feel for anyone else but our children. We would do anything for our children, including unsuccessfully try to keep them from anything and everyone that can hurt them in the world. Our children are young and innocent, and we'd love to keep it that way forever.

I saw this poem and couldn't help but post it here:

CHILD
Your lips have blessed my lips and touched my soul,
Your age has been a beauty without time;
In you I held a mirror to my goal,
And felt my love would live on for all time.
Ah! If that sweetness now was touching me,
Ah! If all that’s fine still shone out its fair light,
I'd wrap you warm and lovingly
Hold you close throughout the night.
I held a love that would not let me leave,
I shaped a passion that would never die,
I cried, and now at last it’s time to grieve
For time must - time will - time will ever fly.
-Richard Macwilliam

Darn pregnancy hormones, although I think this might bring tears to your eyes without them. I wish I could go home right now and just cuddle with Taylor all afternoon. She did the sweetest thing this morning. She was so clingy when I dropped her off at her sitter's. I was holding her and patting her back, so I let down my hand to put her down. She reached back, grabbed my hand, and placed it on her back because she didn't want me to stop. Who can deny this sweetness?
